Description: The Wildwood Park Outdoor Classroom presents "Beneath The Surface: An Introduction to the Native Fishes of Southwest Virginia" as part of their 2015 Summer Nature Series on Thursday, August 6, 2015.

Take a trip into the water as we take a look at the amazing diversity of freshwater fishes in our local streams and rivers. Learn about the variety of special adaptations and behaviors these animals have to cope with life in highly dynamic habitats.

The program will be led by Derek Wheaton from the Virginia Department of Game and Inland Fisheries.

Join us in a marvelous natural setting at twilight for these free family-friendly multi-media presentations by local naturalists.

Park at the Main Entrance to Wildwood Park at Main / Grove or the Sundell / Park Road. lot. It is a 5-minute walk to the classroom in the center of the park.
