Blacksburg Library offers their Summer Reading Program Teen Volunteer Orientation on Sunday, May 31, 2015. Parents, do you have a helpful teen, age 11 years or older, who can assist with the Summer Reading Program (SRP)? The SRP runs from Monday, June 1st to Saturday, July 25, 2015. During that time, we especially appreciate the help of teen volunteers who will assist patrons in signing up for the SRP, awarding prizes to youth for reading milestones, and preparing/setting-up for programs. Please come to the SRP Teen Volunteer Orientation with your teen and your summer schedule! Get your teen scheduled for their volunteer hours between 2:00 and 2:30 pm! SRP training will be provided from 2:30-3:30 pm and pizza will be provided at 3:30 pm.
