The Science Museum of Western Virginia presents the 2nd Annual Butterfly Ball on Saturday, June 6, 2015. Join us for our 2nd Annual Butterfly Ball, a fluttering and fantastic evening under the stars of Roanoke on the rooftop of Center in the Square. Taking inspiration from our butterflies, we invite you to wear vibrantly colored cocktail attire and dance away an amazing summer evening with us. At 6 pm, we will begin the evening in the lovely Center in the Square atrium with a wine tasting from Barrel Chest and a beer tasting from Soaring Ridge Craft Brewers. Moving upward to the 5th floor, we will tour the Science Museum’s beautiful Butterfly Garden and our newest exhibit: Dinosaurs & Fossils! Katherine Devine will be available for butterfly facepainting to compliment your outfit. Complete the evening on the rooftop of Center in the Square with great entertainment, fine food, and this year’s signature cocktail–The Blue Morpho (which includes a little kick from Virginia Sweetwater Moonshine from Appalachian Mountain Spirits).
