Description: 622 North welcomes Megan Jean & The Klay Family Band with Dave Britt on Thursday, April 30, 2015.

Megan Jean and the KFB arrange a demented blend of americana, punk, dance, and the avant-garde that has been earning them a dedicated following all over America. Calling the road home on a “never-ending tour” this transient duo has taken DIY lifestyle and transformed it into a kind of Voodoo that unites scenes, fans, bands, clubs and musical styles-all without the help of a label and fueled by sheer guts and know how.

In April of 2012, Megan Jean and the KFB was featured on PBS performing an original composition “These Bones” as part of a music documentary series Music Voyager, which was broadcast internationally. In July of 2012 they were named the winners of the “Under The Radar Competition” at FloydFest in Floyd VA, which earned them a spot on the mainstage in 2013 alongside The Lumineers and Trampled By Turtles.

Dave Britt is a driven, passionate and charismatic singer-songwriter with a unique approach to his blend of folk, rock and pop. His country and Americana roots blend in with an uplifting modern songwriting sensibility; not unlike artists the likes of Wilco, Bright Eyes or Jason Isbelle, just to name a few.

Following his experience as a member of The Rival Brother, Dave set out to pursue a solo career: His brand new studio album, "10.000 miles" is a slight departure from his previous work, bringing his ideas and songwriting depth to the next level. The album was recorded and produced independently, with the help of Jamie Baresford (on bass) and Steve Sancho (on drums).
