The Lyric presents their annual Celebrating the Lyric Theatre event featuring a free screening of Ferris Bueller's Day Off on Saturday, March 21st. Join us for an afternoon of volunteer appreciation! Outstanding Lyric Theatre and Community Arts Information Office volunteers will be recognized with awards at this event. Refreshments will be served, and the film Ferris Bueller's Day Off will be shown. Ferris Bueller's Day Off is about how a teenaged Ferris Bueller (Matthew Broderick) is a legend in his own time thanks to his uncanny skill at cutting classes and getting away with it. Intending to make one last grand duck-out before graduation, Ferris calls in sick, "borrows" a Ferrari, and embarks on a one-day bacchanal through the streets of Chicago. The film is rated PG-13.
