Mill Mountain Zoo’s Spring Break Zoo Venture is back! As in years past, each day has a special theme and is chocked full of fun and educational activities. There will be hands-on interactions with animals, guided zoo tours, games, art activities, stories and more.

To make it easy for any schedule, parents can pick and choose which days to enroll their children or enroll them in the entire week!

Camp Schedule:
• Monday, April 6th - Animal Detectives
What makes a bird a bird or a mammal a mammal? Campers will learn about how animals are classified and use their detective skills to identify various animals at the zoo, including a special mystery animal.

• Tuesday, April 7th - Spread Your Wings!
Our feathered friends are amazing creatures! Take this camp and learn all about birds and how they soar, swoop and dive! Discover how various beaks and bills are good for different tasks and many other interesting things about the avian animals we share the planet with.

• Wednesday, April 8th - Creepy, Crawly Creatures
Creepy and crawly?!? Many of the animals you may think of as creepy or crawly creatures are often unnecessarily feared and also pretty fascinating! In this camp, we will explore some of the animals that make people shudder and discover that they’re not so bad after all!

• Thursday, April 9th - Extreme Animals
Many animals have amazing abilities that allow them to do extreme things. How does a snow leopard stay warm in cold mountain temperatures? What helps fishing cats feel so at home in the water? Campers will explore these adaptations and many others that allow animals to live and thrive in extreme conditions and do extreme things.

• Friday, April 10th - Captivating Cats
From snow leopards to cougars, campers will learn about the wild world of cats. Discover how these cats are different from domesticated housecats and also how they can sometimes have things in common with them.
