Description: The Blacksburg Library presents The Pillowcase Project: Emergency Preparedness for Children on Tuesday, January 27th.

The American Red Cross and AmeriCorps partner to present The Pillowcase Project, an engaging way to educate younger generations on the importance of disaster preparedness. Participants will be educated in the science of hazards through in-class activities empowering them to take action during times when they may need it most. Each student will receive a pillowcase they can use to make a personal preparedness kit, along with the knowledge that when an emergency strikes, they will be better prepared.

This program is designed for youth ages 8-11 in 3rd to 5th grades. No registration required.
