The Radford University Art Department presents their new Beyond the Tartan Art Exhibit featuring artist Bill Wightman on exhibit in Gallery 205 located within Porterfield Hall from January 26th - March 6, 2015. Although many of the works in Bill Wightman's Radford University alumna exhibition are intentionally playful, often behind or beyond this sense of play lie other realms of exploration. For example, in the body of work entitled “Careers I’ll Never Have," the images of Wightman as a professional working in a variety of settings explore his self-realized limitations, whether they be aptitude, abilities, resources, etc. The “faked” scenes also intend to address our own instances of fakery when convincing others of our expertise, skills, etc. Gallery is closed on weekends and between 12-1 pm.
