622 North welcomes The DJ Williams Projekt to the stage on Saturday, January 24, 2015. The DJ Williams Projekt originated in Richmond, Virginia and was formed by frontman DJ Williams, who is actually not a DJ at all. D.J. Williams is an American guitarist, singer songwriter, and producer. Since starting a full time music career in 2001, DJ has toured the globe from small rock venues to large prestigious music festivals in the US, Canada, and Europe. Heavily jazz and funk influenced, the Projekt does its fair share of jamming while incorporating a great mixture of keys, sax, and trumpet. They have a very solid rhythm section and not to mention DJ Williams who can easily hold his own among even the best jam band guitarists.
