The Pulaski Theatre presents "Just Two Old Friends - A Kenny Rogers and Dolly Parton Tribute" concert on Saturday, October 18, 2014. "Just Two Old Friends: A Kenny/Dolly Tribute” featuring the Royal Straight Band features Tim Sells as Kenny Rogers and Wendy T as Dolly Parton. Tim presents a show that provides smiles, crowd participation, and enjoyment for all ages, and honors the music and persona of “The Gambler,” Kenny Rogers. For the last 30 years, Tim Sells has performed all over the United States and the Virgin Islands, both as a singer and actor. He has performed all genres of Kenny Rogers’ music, from jazz to his ballads. In many situations, he has been told that his similarity in looks and sound of Kenny Rogers provide an awesome experience in the performances he gives, especially his interaction with his audiences. As a singer, dancer and tribute artist, Wendy T is a versatile professional performer having appeared on stage in several roles that have featured her incredible vocal talents. Wendy was awarded a drama scholarship to Colorado State University and later graduated from the Denver Conservatory of Performing Arts. “Portraying a legend such as Dolly is a tough job,” says Wendy, “Because of the distinctive style of the multi-award winning performer.” Wendy handles this challenge with the same ease as the real Country superstar, and she has become a favorite at all Legends venues.
