The Virginia Tech Union presents the Verge Campus Fall Tour 2014 featuring Chance The Rapper with Sweater Beats and Young & Sick on Tuesday, October 14th in Burruss Auditorium. Chance The Rapper is a 21 year old hip hop artist from Chicago, Illinois. He began to gain major recognition following the release of his second mixtape "Acid Rap" in 2013. He has performed at Lollapalooza and was included in hip hop magazine XXL's annual freshman class. Link: http://chanceraps.com/ Seducing the world via his own brand of dream-soaked pop and lushed out r&b, New York's Antonio Cuna, aka Sweater Beats, is a force to be reckoned with. Since the release of his single "MLLN DLLR" on Bondax's Justus Recordings in 2012, Cuna has garnered support from tastemakers like Diplo and Annie Mac, and has delivered standout mixes for Boiler Room, SSENSE, and Red Bull Studios. The project is the brainchild of Dutch artist Nick Van Hofwegen, described as a "double threat" in art and music by the Wall Street Journal, who is responsible for the project's musical composition, production, and performance, as well as all artwork. BBC Radio 1 called Young & Sick the "Next Hype" and the project was named Stereogum's "Band to Watch". Young & Sick has performed at SXSW, Coachella and the Forecastle Festival.
