Description: 622 North welcomes The Royal Noise to the stage on Thursday, November 6, 2014.

The Royal Noise founded in 2010 by guitarist Johan Harvey and saxophonist/keyboardist Mike LaBombard is based in Philadelphia, PA. The Royal Noise is a relentless funk dance party. They draw on influences from the great funk masters like Herbie Hancock and Parliament Funkadelic as well as modern music like Umphrey’s McGee and Lotus.

Since then, they have performed consistently across the East Coast from northern NY & VT down to south FL. Once on the road, the line up was given a breath of fresh air with Rodrigo Pichardo (bass) Aaron Zarrow (drums) and Dan Kaplowitz (guitar). On a night to night basis you’re guaranteed a different show with constant experimenting and improvising over heavy grooves, catchy melodies, and instrumental prowess.

Simon Eddie of Home Grown Music Network stated, “One of the best live funk acts to emerge from the East Coast in a long while.”
