Celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Star Spangled Banner at the Christiansburg Library on Sunday, September 14th. All are invited to join in a celebration of the 200th anniversary of the writing of The Star Spangled Banner. The words to our national anthem were written in 1814 by Francis Scott Key during a battle at Fort McHenry near Baltimore. Enjoy performances by the Christiansburg High School Band and Chorus, Schaeffer Memorial Baptist Church Choir, Wilderness Road Chorus and the Warm Hearth Singers. The program will conclude with everyone singing of The Star Spangled Banner.
