622 North welcomes Richie Marso & The Wildlife to the stage on Friday, September 5th, 2014 Richie Marso & The Wildlife are soul music with a shot of rockin blues. They rip and shred, croon and wail. Songs about life, love, situations, ideals and wants. Uplifting and moody. Soul stirring vocals and guitar work wrapped around grooving rhythms and original compositions. Every song is made for dancing and grooving. The music of The Wildlife is influenced by Jazz, Motown, West African drum rhythms, B.B. king, Al Green, Michael Franti and Spearhead. Stevie wonder, Prince, Wooten. All the members of the band listen to and play a wide variety of music. They bring all that together to create a diverse soundscape for the nightlife of our time. Richie Ursomarso, is the founder, lead guitarist and vocalist for Richie & The Wildlife. Richie has been studying guitar for 20 years, and playing professionaly for the last ten. He plays with other bands as well such as the Aliens, Soul Good Family Band, The Emily Brass Band. Richards guitar style is funky, bluesy and soulful.
