Smithfield Plantation offers their Adventure Days Summer Camp held daily from Monday, July 21st through Friday, July 25th from 9 AM until noon each day. Smithfield Plantation’s 2014 Summer Camp will educate third through sixth grade age children about life in the Civil War era, in concert with Virginia's Sesquicentennial Celebration. Campers may attend one or more days or all week. Each day will focus on a different aspect of the war or life in those times: - Monday: Live cannon firing by the Giles Artillery - Tuesday: Battle of Cloyd’s Mountain - Wednesday: Preston connection to include house and cemetery tour - Thursday: Life on the home front - Friday: Spy Day For more information, visit: http://www.smithfieldplantation.org or call: 540-231-3947. |
