Community Easter Egg Hunt:

Description: Omega Tau Sigma (OTS), a service fraternity of the Virginia-Maryland Regional College of Veterinary Medicine at Virginia Tech, will host an Easter egg hunt on Saturday, April 19 on the college's campus located on Duckpond Drive in Blacksburg, VA.

The Easter Bunny will be on hand to greet visitors. There will also be balloon animals, games and live bunnies courtesy of Field of Daisies Rabbit Rescue with a handling and care demonstration.

The event is free and open to the public. The event starts promptly at 10 am.

Participating children need to bring a basket or other container to hold any eggs they may find. All other materials will be provided.

The event will be held rain or shine.

Omega Tau Sigma focuses on service, fundraising, and social activities at the veterinary college. Students organize a number of community programs, including a Relay for Life team, blood drives, and canned food drives. The group recently cosponsored a Casino Night fundraiser that raised $9,000 for the veterinary hospital’s Compassionate Care Fund.

The VA-MD Regional College of Veterinary Medicine is located at 245 Duck Pond Drive on the campus of Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, VA.
