The Blacksburg Library hosts the Solarize/Economize event sponsored by Sustainable Blacksburg on Tuesday, April 29, 2014. Solarize Blacksburg is bringing solar energy within reach! Blacksburg has a long tradition of being on the leading edge and supporting environmental stewardship. Solarize is the next logical step in keeping Blacksburg amongst the most innovative communities in the state and country. • 5:30 PM to 6:30 PM: Socialize and energize: Refreshments provided. • 6:30 PM: Mason Cavell, Director of Energy Efficiency Programs at Community Housing Partners, will talk about economizing our energy use through Solarize Blacksburg and big and small efficiency measures where we live.
