The Mountain Lake Lodge host the first annual Sundown Showdown Duathalon on Saturday, July 5, 2014. This duathalon will take place on the front lawn of Mountain Lake Lodge beginning at 3:00 pm in the afternoon. Racers can choose to race as an individual or as a team (one partner biking and the second running). This is a challenging course on rocky, mountain-top terrain including fern-lined single track trail and gravel forest road. The course is an 8-mile mountain bike route followed by a 5K foot race. Race staging and transition zone will take place on the front lawn of Mountain Lake Lodge. Awards will be given during our Independence celebration featuring live music by Big Daddy Love and fireworks over the lake. All racers will receive a memorabilia award. Grand prizes and runner-up prizes will be awarded in three different categories. Single racer is $75. Team racers are $125 total. Limited spots available - register now!
