Save the Trail Shindig with the New River Trail Conservancy:

Cost: The event is free however donations are strongly encouraged.

Description: Join us in raising awareness for New River Trail conservation efforts and help funds for future trail preservation projects. We’ll have live music throughout the day and fabulous food at the Blue Door Cafe. Start the day with a hike on the New River Trail or rent a bike here at the Draper Mercantile for a trail ride. Our featured performers include Nikki Talley from Asheville NC and the VW Boys from Blountville Tennessee.

12:00 – 2:00 PM Nikki Talley and Jason Sharp take the stage to kickoff the day with live music http://www.nikkitalley.com

2:00 – 6:00 PM Come gather on the porches for jam sessions – bring an instrument if you play

6:30 PM Speaker Liza Fields, conservationist and Roanoke TImes columnist and Joe Elton, Director of Virginia State Parks will speak about the need for conservation efforts along the New RIver Trail

7:00 PM VW Boys entertain with music, comedy and magic http://www.vwboys.com

Admission to the days activities are free, but donations to the New River Trail Conservancy are encouraged. Admission to the evening concert with the VW boys is a donation to New River Trail Conservancy.
