The Book House Floyd presents an Author Event with Charlie Thompson and His Book "Spirits of Just Men" on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

Local author and scholar Charlie Thompson will be discussing his book "Spirits of Just Men" and signing copies.

Enjoy a fascinating dive into Franklin County's history of the local moonshine economy that made the national news in 1930s America. Extensive oral histories make his characters come alive, including Thompson's ancestors in this richly colorful narrative. Bring your questions!

Admission is free and all are welcome.

Copies of the book will be available for sale.

The cafe will also be open so come grab an iced tea or coffee and join us!
