The Radford Public Library presents the program "Steeped in History: Spilling the Tea on Colonial America’s Favorite Drink" on Saturday, June 13, 2026.
Learn all about the pivotal role tea played in the Colonial American life and how this famous beverage eventually led to American Independence. We’ll have Cheryl Childress, a historical reenactor, offer a presentation on Colonial American tea customs and history. We’ll also have some freshly brewed tea varieties that would have been popular at the time available for you to try!
