New River Valley Community Services presents the first ever Summer Youth Fest: An Event for New River Valley Teens on Friday, July 19, 2019 at Bisset Park in Radford, VA.
Enjoy live music, games, free food, free t-shirts and other cool stuff! What better way to spend a Friday afternoon?
The festival will include a lineup of bands from the region that also feature local teens performing a variety of musical genres.
Bands scheduled to perform include:
• Gate 10
• Wicked Phat Band
• Electric Triangle
Gate 10 is a highly energetic band that has written its own musical story using the tales of traditional bluegrass, the high energy of classic rock and the heartaches of old country music.
Coupling this with ages ranging from 11 to 22, they have a unique sound that is beyond their years. Located in Southwest Virginia, they have traveled around the south performing and enjoying every moment of it.

The Wicked Phat Band is a young, up-and-coming crew of high-energy musicians, playing all types of music.

Electric Triangle is a three person band based in the New River Valley, VA area performing an eclectic mix of rap, dance, electronic, psychedelic rock, chickens and comedy.

Sound services for the day are being provided by DJ Rick Pruett. In between band performances, Rick will be playing a variety of today’s most popular music.
Admission is free and all local New River Valley teens ages 13-18 are welcome.
The event is rain or shine.
