Claytor Lake State Park presents the May Full Moon Event on Saturday, May 18, 2019 at the Marina Building Top Patio.

Join Claytor Lake State Park Rangers for our May Full Moon Event. Observe and photograph the moon as it rises over Claytor Lake. There will be crafts for kids and a ranger led close-up viewing of the moon by telescope.

We will also have our underwater lighting system in place to see what aquatic creatures may be attracted to it. Or take your own moonlit stroll along the lake shore. Bring a good flashlight and you may spot spawning bass nesting near the shore.
