The Virginia Tech School of Performing Arts presents the 15th Annual Progeny Short Film Festival on Saturday, September 22, 2018 at the Lyric Theatre.

The 15th annual Progeny Film Festival returns to the Lyric Theatre with a variety of original short films that will be screened and judged. The Progeny Short Film Festival showcases high-quality, do-it-yourself-spirited filmmaking especially by independent filmmakers and students within Southwest Virginia.

Categories include: narrative, documentary, experimental, animated, super short and high school.

Admission is free.

The Progeny Film Festival is an annual event hosted by Virginia Tech's School of Performing Arts in Blacksburg, Virginia. Progeny's mission is to foster and showcase short, thoughtful, independent-minded, DIY-spirited, artful films by filmmakers from Southwest Virginia and the surrounding areas.
