Smithfield Plantation presents their 2017 Independence Day Celebration on Tuesday, July 4, 2017 from 10 am until 2 pm.

Schedule:
• 10:00 am: Gates Open
• 12:00 pm: Apple Pie Contest Judging
• 1:00 pm: Reading of Fincastle Resolution & Declaration of Independence
• 2:00 pm: Event Ends

Enjoy the most American holiday at the most historic site in the area!

Activities include:
• Cannon Firing on the Hour
• Apple Pie Baking Contest
• Reading of the Fincastle Resolution and Declaration of Independence
• House Tours available for regular admission
• Living History Camp
• Blacksmith Demonstrations
• Colonial Dancing
and much more!

The delicious Apple Pie Baking Contest will be judged at high noon by judges Virginia Delegate Joseph Yost and Smithfield Plantation Chairman Foster. Winners will receive a family pack of tickets to the Pulaski Yankees.

Admission to the outside activities is free. House tours are regular admission price.
