Description:
Virginia Tech Rec Sports presents the 16th Annual University Bookstore Bench Press Competition on Saturday, February 18, 2017 inside the War Memorial Gym.
Schedule:
• 7:30-8:30 am - Day of Registration
• 9:00 am - Last Weigh In Conducted
• 9:45 am - Rules Briefing
• 10:00 am - Competition begins
Come out to participate in or spectate this awesome weightlifting event! The competition is open to both Virginia Tech students, faculty and staff and the general public. There are three weight class categories which include Women's Open, Men's Raw and Men's Open.
The cost to pre-register for Virginia Tech students, faculty and staff is $15.00 and it's $25.00 for non-students. Pre-Registration will be open until Thursday, February 16, 2017 at 5 pm. Early weigh-ins will be available on Friday, February 17th from 4-7 pm.
For those who want to compete in a second division, it is an additional $10.00.

Family, friends, and all spectators are welcome to attend the competition. Admission is free of charge.
Awards will be given to top three lifters of each weight class. Overall winners of each division will be pulled from their individual weight class to receive a prize.
Visitors can park in most lots on Saturday. Please note that you should not park in handicap and service vehicle spots.
