YMCA at Virginia Tech offers the 13-week class "Intro to Breakdancing" starting on Thursday, January 26, 2017.
Breaking, or more commonly known as Breakdancing, is a style of dance that consists of 4 elements: toprock, footwork, freezes, and power moves. This course will introduce and guide newcomers through these movements in a fun and approachable way. Anybody can dance!
The instructors of the course will be the executive board members of the Breaking Club at VT: Eric Luu, Jasper Choi, Derek Lew, and Henry Nguyen, who have all been dancing for years. Each instructor is very passionate about the dance and is always eager to teach.
This 13-week class will meet every Thursday night from 7:30-9:00 pm with no class on March 6, 2017.
