The Floyd Center for the Arts, formerly Jacksonville Center, presents Winterfest 2016 on Sunday, December 4, 2016.

This year we will be celebrating our 22nd annual Winterfest! As our longest running program, Winterfest is something you won’t want to miss.

Winterfest features more than 30 local artisans and vendors this year along with music, holiday craft activities for kids and a special Jax café. Children can participate in the free, supervised children’s holiday arts and crafts activities.

The first Winterfest was designed as a year-end showcase of local artisanship and creativity, in time for local residents’ holiday shopping, many of whom have always had a policy of buying locally made handcrafted gifts for friends and family. Twenty-two years later, Winterfest remains the best opportunity for shoppers to find a wide variety of handmade, local, unique gifts all offered at one place and close enough to Christmas to get some authentic gift buying done.

Back for the third year is the Festival of Trees. The Art Center has partnered with the Floyd businesses and organizations to celebrate the holiday season and also encourage shoppers to visit local outlets for gifts, decorations, and food for the season.

This year Festival of Trees has 50 participating businesses. Each pre-decorated, tabletop holiday tree will be on display at Winterfest, with the final bidding for visitors to win a tree to take home for the holidays finishing at 4:30PM on Sunday, December 6th.

Admission is free.
