Claytor Lake State Park presents the program "Beginner Birding" on Saturday, July 18, 2026.

Have you ever wondered about the birds in your area?

Join our rangers to learn all the tricks and tips of bird watching and how to identify some of our common species. This event is geared towards beginners and children, but experienced birders are welcome as well.

Don't forget to bring a pair of binoculars or borrow one of ours.

Event is free, but the $7.00 state park parking fee per vehicle still applies.

Claytor Lake State Park is located at 6620 Ben H. Bolen Drive in Dublin, VA.
