The Engagement Center for Creative Aging at Virginia Tech presents a Caregiver Body Mechanics Lecture on Monday, April 13, 2026 inside the Steger Hall Conference Center on the campus of Virginia Tech.
Are you a caregiver or care partner? Do you feel nervous transferring the person you are caregiving for in and out of a car or chair? Then this workshop is for you.
Join Alexis Henderson, an instructor and coordinator within the Human Development and Family Science Department at Virginia Tech, for a lecture on Caregiver Body Mechanics. She will discuss strategies to help you feel safe, confident and strong when caring for others.
The event is free and open to the public, but please RSVP by April 10th.
