The Center for the Arts at Virginia Tech presents a Pre-Show Performance with Indian Run Stringband before the on Saturday, October 11, 2025 on the Center for the Arts patio.

Old-time group Indian Run Stringband returns to the center for a pre-show performance on the patio, ahead of the evening ticketed performance by mandolinist Chris Thile starting at 7:30 PM.

The Indian Run Stringband from Blacksburg, VA plays fiddle and banjo foot stomping dance tunes, ballads and sings traditional songs with old time harmonies perfect for dancing the two step.

From dance tunes to the blues, the Indian Run Stringband plays with love and abandon. They make old-time music fresh and new.
