Radford University Head Basketball Coach Darris Nichols hosts a Four Day Mini Highlander Basketball Day Camp for Ages 5-12 starting on Monday, July 25, 2022 through Thursday, July 28, 2022 at the Dedmon Center on the campus of Radford University.

Darris Nichols was named the Head Men's Basketball Coach at Radford University on April 21, 2021. Summer of 2022 will be the inaugural year for Darris Nichols Basketball Camps and we look forward to having you join us!

Mini Highlander Camp will focus on fundamental skill development in a fun, enthusiastic environment. Campers will make friends and word hard while learning and practicing basketball techniques instructed by former and current Highlander players as well as the current coaching staff.

The Early Bird Registration Fee is $100.00 per camper and the regular Registration Fee, starting on Monday, June 20th, is $110.00 per camper.

A typical day will include:
• 8:00-9:00 AM: Check-In / Sign-In / Camper Drop-Off / Camper Free Shoot
• 9:10 AM: Greeting / Rules of Camp / Make Teams / Stretching
• 9:45 AM: Stations such as passing, dribbling, shooting, defensive slides, agility, etc.
• 10:30 AM: Camp Games such as Simon Says, Telephone, Decision Game, Highlander Tag
• 11:15 AM: 5 on 5 Games
• 11:50 AM: Team Lines, Present Awards for the Day & Announcements
• 12:00 PM: Dismissal
• 12:00-1:00 PM: Campers can free shoot until parents/guardians pick them up

The camp is open to all genders.

Walk-up registrations will be available for each camp, however, it's based on availability. We have a capacity limit on the participants for each of our camps, so we recommend you register online before the camp is deemed sold out.

Lunch will not be provided, however, snacks and pizza will be available for purchase through the camp bank at the concession stand all day/each day. Water will be provided at no cost. Gatorade will be available at the concession stand for purchase each day.
