Rising Silo Farm Brewery presents Ash Devine's Holiday Sing-Along and Ukulele Jam on Sunday, December 19, 2021.

Join us for a special holiday concert with Ash Devine and friends! A house band will lead the tunes, and patrons can sing along and play along acoustically.

Ash Devine writes, collects, and performs cross genre music based on numerous music traditions including original Americana & indie-folk-rock, traditional Appalachian, contemporary folk, country and country blues, historic bluegrass, folk revival, and international folk music. An accomplished songwriter, vocalist, theater artist, and fingerstyle guitar & ukulele player, Ash has self produced two albums of original music.

Born and raised in the Blue Ridge mountains of Virginia, Ash lived for over 17 years in the Western North Carolina region where she developed her studies of Appalachian music traditions. In 2015, Ash starred as "Mother Maybelle" Carter of the legendary Carter family band and was musical director for the play "Esley: The Life and Music of Lesley Riddle."

Ash Devine tours and performs in reputable music venues, festivals, community settings, and health care facilities nationwide. Inspired by her international travels with Patch Adams, M.D. Ash facilitates therapeutic arts and music-based programs for elders and intergenerational groups in educational and health care settings.

Lyric sheets and charts will be provided for the sing and play along tunes. The first 15 minutes Ash Devine will give a Uke refresher and review basic Ukulele chords that will be needed for the songs. Other instruments are welcome, however, this is a Uke themed concert.

Bring a tune if you'd like to lead one. If you have at least 15 copies of your song that would be appreciate, otherwise folks can just sing along or wing it.

Both listeners and watchers are welcome.
