The YMCA of Pulaski County presents the 2nd Annual Highland Games outside on Saturday, June 12, 2021.

Celebrate Scotland's rich history with the Highland Games at the YMCA of Pulaski County. This is your opportunity to see professional Highland Games athletes, including Pulaski County High School's very own Johnathan Harding, in action competing in a variety of events. This community event will be outdoors, family friendly, and food trucks will be on-site.

Highland Games Competition Events include:
• Stone Events
• Scottish Hammer Throw
• Caber (tree) Toss

The Highland Games are classified as a heavy athletics event dating back to the 11th century. Originally the games were a way for Highland warriors to stay in shape between battles. The Highland Games are a great spectator sport and feature men and women competing in nine events including heavy stone events, Scottish hammer throw, and caber (tree) toss and much more!

There will also be a Kids Corner where kids can practice kid-friendly versions of the Highland Games events. Food trucks Taco Trolly and Suzie's Funnel Cakes will be on-site serving food.

Admission for spectators is $5.00 for adults and free for kids 12 & under.
