Christiansburg Department of Parks and Recreation presents the 2019 8-Mile Bridge Challenge on Saturday, September 21, 2019 starting and ending at Christiansburg Recreation Center.

Schedule:
• 8:00 am: Check-In begins
• 8:15 am: Participants must be on site
• 8:30 am: Shuttle Buses Departs for Blacksburg Library

The 8-Mile Bridge Challenge takes place on the Huckleberry Trail starting at the Blacksburg Library and ending at the Christiansburg Rec Center. The first 60 participants registered will receive a complimentary t-shirt.

The registration deadline is Monday, September 9th. Forms must be turned into the Christiansburg Rec Center.

The walk is approximately 8.3 miles and will take about 2.5-3.0 hours to complete.

Ages 17 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Water is the responsibility of the participant. Water stations will be located at the Warm Hearth road crossing and the Renva W. Knowles Bridge. Free beverages for walkers at the completion of the walk at the event headquarters.

For safety reasons, no animals are permitted on the shuttle buses.

The event is rain or shine.
