Description:
The 2019 Dialogue on Race Summer Summit With Sides will be held on Saturday, August 24, 2019 starting at 5:00 pm at the Montgomery County Moose Lodge in Christiansburg, VA.
The Dialogue on Race’s mission is to create a forum that examines racial issues articulated by the African-American community in Montgomery County, VA, and then develops and implements solutions.
The event will kick off with "Conversations with Cops" at 4:00 pm for anyone who would like to sit down for casual, friendly chats with local law enforcement officers.
It is a great summer late afternoon gathering of amazing people, potluck food, progress reports from the Dialogue on Race issue groups, and facilitated small groups focusing on areas for action. Come early and sit in for Conversations With Cops.
All are welcome.
The Dialogue on Race provides the fried chicken and beverages, thanks to a grant from the New Mountain Climbers Fund at the Community Foundation.
What to bring? Sides, salads, desserts, you name it. If bringing a side doesn't work out, not a problem. Just come and help us continue the vital work of the Dialogue on Race to combat and end racism in our community.
