The Meadowbrook Public Library presents a Mime Workshop and Performance on Saturday, February 23, 2019.
Join us for a Mime Workshop and Performance with the mime called "I'm". Workshop. Learn about the art of mime and participate in a short performance!
Schedule:
• 10:00 am: Check-In
• 10:15 am: Introduction
• 10:30 am: Workshop
• 11:30 am: Lunch provided (pizza, drinks, water, fruit & dessert)
• 12:00 pm: Face Painting, Costuming & Photos
• 12:30 pm: Workshop - Individual Performances
• 1:00 pm: Break with snacks provided
• 1:10 pm: Group Performance Rehearsal
• 2:00 pm: Break with snack, makeup & costume check
• 2:30 pm: Public Performance
Participants will learn and practice a style of mime that is about performance using simple intentions and spontaneous expression. Learn to use an attention to detail in movement to express yourself, and learn how to "scream" silently.
There is no dialogue to learn. Lunch for teens is provided.
Open to ages 10-18 years. Participants must register. Space is limited to only 10 spots.
The performance will be at 2:30 pm.
In case of inclement weather, the make-up date will be held on March 9th.
