The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce will host its Business Showcase on Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at The Inn at Virginia Tech and Skelton Conference Center.
Business Showcase Schedule:
• 3:30-7:30 pm: Business Expo Open
• 3:30-4:30 pm: Cybersecruity Workshop for Small and Medium Sized Businesses
• 4:30-5:30 pm: Embezzlement: How to Protect Your Business
• 5:00 pm: Ribbon Cutting for Preston's Restaurant and Continental Divide
The Business Showcase, open to the public, will highlight many Montgomery County businesses and organizations and will be open from 3:30-7:30 pm with prize giveaways each hour. Food and beverage service will be available starting at 4:30 pm.
This year, we have some amazing prizes thanks to our sponsors. Prizes will be given away hourly, and you must be present to win.
Prize Schedule:
• 4:30 pm: One 55" TV
• 5:30 pm: Two tickets to VT vs UVA football game and tailgating privileges with Cumulus Radio Station Group - Blacksburg
• 6:30 pm: One 55" TV
• 7:15 pm: $400 off a flight out of Roanoke Blacksburg Regional Airport
There will also be training sessions on cyber security, presented by AesirTech Consulting at 3:30 pm, and a discussion with local law enforcement and a certified accountant on how to protect yourself from embezzlement at 4:30 pm.
The afternoon will be filled with great networking opportunities and the chance to get discounts on offers from local vendors. With an emphasis on the benefits of shopping locally, the Chamber wants businesses and individuals alike to be aware of what’s available right here in Montgomery County.
The Montgomery County Chamber of Commerce supports approximately 650 local businesses through business advocacy, education, marketing and networking opportunities.
