The Downtown Blacksburg, Inc. presents A Royal Wedding Viewing Party on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Lyric Theatre.
The Royal Wedding is coming to the Lyric Theatre in beautiful downtown Blacksburg and you can be there! In fact you do not want to miss this fun filled celebration of the Royal Nuptials! Join us in a spectacular celebration of the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Ticket price will include tea, coffee, scones and cucumber hors d’ oeuvres, funky formal wear and silly millinery contests, fun surprises and a delicious piece of the Royal Wedding Cake! Gobble Cakes, located on College Avenue, are creating lemon, elderflower cupcakes based on the actual flavor chosen by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
Tickets are $10.00 for adults and $5.00 for those 18 and under.

There will also be a Cash Champagne Bar with the delicious sparkling wine coming from Gourmet Pantry! Bucks Fizz (the British equivalent of a Mimosa) Champagne and plain orange juice will be available for purchase.
Kent Jewelers is selling raffle tickets to win a replica of the royal engagement ring (worth $150.00) or the life-size cutout of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. All proceeds from the raffle will go to NRV Cares as Kent Jewelers wedding gift to the community! But, you must be present at the event to win! Tickets are $3.00 for one or $5.00 for two. Stop by Kent Jewelers now to buy your raffle tickets or purchase them on the day of the event.
Doors open at 6:00 am and the festivities start at 6:15 am. The wedding begins at 7:00 am.
Downtown businesses are getting ready with special wedding themed offers and events from wedding outfits at Fringe Benefit or Sundee Best to wedding gifts at Matrix Gallery or t.r. collection; from wedding rehearsal dinners at Cabo Fish Taco or The Cellar to Wedding Brunch at Gillie’s.
We encourage you to wear your wedding finery and bring along your favourite teacup or just come as you are and enjoy the festivities as we celebrate our second Royal Wedding in 7 years at the Lyric Theatre!
