Students for Sustainable Practice at Virginia Tech presents the 3rd Annual Solarfest as part of the Virginia Tech 2018 Earth Week on Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at Rising Silo Farm Brewery in Blacksburg, VA.
Solarfest is a free community gathering and music festival to celebrate clean energy during Earth Week. We'll have bands, speakers, and several organizations tabling with info on their causes and how you can get further involved.
Event Lineup:
• 5:30-5:45 pm: Students for Sustainable Practice Welcome
• 5:45-6:15 pm: Romaine and Jam Band
• 6:15-6:25 pm: Speaker
• 6:25-7:10 pm: Veggie Burrito
• 7:10-7:30 pm: John Hillis, CFO of SolUnesco
• 7:30-9:00 pm: Asher from Tomato Dodgers
Enjoy a drink, some farm-to-table food, watch the sunset, listen to music, meet like-minded environmental folks, and admire the solar panels on the roof!
Note: Being 21 and older is NOT required to attend.
