Chateau Morrisette presents their Spring Open House and 40th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday, April 28, 2018 and Sunday, April 29, 2018.
Guests can enjoy live music each day, Saturday's music features The Antecedents, complimentary wine tastings, light hors d'oeuvres, and our annual spring wine sale with all wines 40% off retail price. Weather permitting, there will also be a small petting zoo for the kids.
The Antecedents are a heartfelt American roots, rock ‘n roll band from the mountains of Appalachia in Southwest Virginia. With three-part harmony leading the sound you will find yourselves emerged in the vibes of the singer-song writer.
The Antecedents began as a local duo and are now a six piece band dedicated to writing songs with substance, and depth. With influences ranging from all over the timeline of music this acoustic duo has found a unique but familiar approach to modern songwriting, while staying true to the format that captivates a listener's enjoyment. Performing folk, roots, pop, alternative and country.
Throughout 2017 they began opening for national acts, performing at renowned festivals and released their first full length record, “Long Way Home”. The band won the Flight to FloydFest Series in 2018 and earned FloydFest 2018's On the Rise featured act spot and after a fantastic performance have been invited back.

In addition, there will be wagon tours of the vineyard with founder and owner David Morrisette each day. Tours last approximately one hour. Tours will leave at 12:00 pm, 1:30 pm and 3:00 pm. Wagon Tour tickets are $10.00 per person and each tour is limited to just 15 seats.
