Description:
New River Valley Trout Unlimited presents Screening of A River Runs Through It on Thursday, March 15, 2018 at the Lyric Theatre.

"A River Runs Through It" is a 1992 film rated PG starring Craig Sheffer, Brad Pitt, Tom Skerritt and directed by Robert Redford.

Movie Synopsis:
The Maclean brothers, Paul and Norman, live a relatively idyllic life in rural Montana, spending much of their time fly fishing. The sons of a minister, the boys eventually part company when Norman moves east to attend college, leaving his rebellious brother to find trouble back home. When Norman finally returns, the siblings resume their fishing outings, and assess both where they've been and where they're going.

There will be prizes, and other fly fishing goodies on hand and for sale. Enter a raffle for an Orvis Clearwater Rod / Reel Outfit and other Orvis prizes.

Tickets are $15.00 for general admission and $5.00 for students and youth and will be available at the door.

Proceeds will benefit conservation, education and outreach.

Beer and refreshments will be available for purchase for those ages 21 and up.

Doors open at 6:00 pm and the film starts at 7:00 pm.

Trout Unlimited is a conservation group that through local and national programs works to maintain, restore or improve cold water habitat. The New River Valley Chapter of Trout Unlimited conserves, protects and restores the New River Valley's trout fisheries and their watersheds.

The New River Valley Chapter meets on the first Wednesday of every month. Meetings start at 7:00 pm at the Montgomery County Government Center in Christiansburg, VA.
