Draper Mercantile and Trading Company presents the 8th Annual Holiday Homecoming on Saturday, December 2, 2017.

Join us for a day of live music, dancing performance, artist demonstrations, delicious food, cookie baking contest and old-fashioned holiday cheer. Shop for unique gifts and locally-made crafts while meeting the artists who create them.

Santa is also going to be making an appearance! And, come by to check out our life-size gingerbread house!

The Holiday Homecoming Buffet will be available for both lunch and dinner. Kids buffet is $8.00, vegetarian buffet is $12.00. Adult lunch is $15.00 and adult dinner buffet is $17.00. Bake Contest Information & Rules:

Entry forms are available online at www.drapermerc.comhttp://nebula.wsimg.com/0d1a9017a65cb5a384fc558311156602?AccessKeyId=43DC88D47F3326B5EB50&disposition=0&alloworigin=1 and in person.

To enter, bake and submit one dozen of each bake-off submission you wish to enter. Bring your unmarked entries to the Draper Mercantile on 12/2/17 between 9:00-10:30 am. No entries will be accepted after 10:30 am. Judging starts at 11 am.

The categories are:
• Rolled Out Sugar Cookie
• Drop Sugar Cookie
• Bar Cookie
• Specialty Cookie

Rules:
• One entry per person per category
• Entries made from “scratch” (no mixes, please)
• You may enter only one baked item per category. If your entry fits more than one category, you must pick the category that you believe is the most suitable
• You may enter as many categories as you like, but each entry must be a different baked item
• A complete recipe must be submitted by winners in each category
• You do not have to pre-register your entry
• Items will be judged based on appearance, creativity, taste, texture, and overall impressions
• Winners must be present to win
• Winners must be prepared to share electronic copies of their recipes with event coordinator ana@drapermerc.com within 24 hours of competition, to be posted on the Draper Mercantile website and Facebook page
• All entries will be available for pickup after judging, photography, and awards have been announced after 3:00 pm

JUDGING:
A presiding Judge will monitor the judging and collect the votes. Each category will be judged by multiple judges chosen from members of the Draper community. Judges will select winners for each category as well as the Best In Show. Award winners will be announced at 2:00 pm. Contestants are asked to remain after the ceremonies for a group photo.
