The Giles Arts Council presents the 12th Annual Art on the Lawn juried, open-air art show and sale on the lawn of the historic Giles County Courthouse on Saturday, September 16, 2017 from 10 am until 4 pm.

This event will feature local artists from Giles County and throughout Virginia as well as West Virginia and North Carolina. Painters, potters, fine art jewelers, woodworkers all on one lawn. New this year, the event will also feature a High School Division featuring the work of local high school aged artists. Virginia Living Magazine has named it one of the top two art events in Southwest Virginia.

View and purchase unique and beautiful original art and jewelry by regional artists, enjoy the Kids Art Adventure, free live music from a variety of genres and more. The Juried Art Show will feature cash prizes. Awards will be announced at 1:00 pm.

The Kids Art Adventure is under the direction of award winning artist Meggin Hicklin. Talented adult artists will be assisting children from toddlers to tweens in age appropriate art projects. This year's theme "Under the Sea".

The event will be held rain or shine. In the event of inclement weather, an indoor location for the show will be announced no later than 5 pm on Friday, September 15, 2017.

The Giles County Courthouse is located at 501 Wenonah Avenue on the corner of Main Street and Wenonah Avenue in downtown Pearisburg, VA.
