The Gaye Y. Whitaker Memorial Fund presents 2nd Annual Finish the Fight 5K Run/Walk, a fundraising event for a local woman battling cancer, on Saturday, October 7, 2017 starting and ending at the Christiansburg Recreation Center.

Schedule:
• 8:30 am: Race Day Packet Pick-Up & Registration
• 9:30 am: 5K begins

Mark your calendars for this fun run for a great cause. The route is along the Huckleberry Trail with turnaround loop and water station at New River Valley Mall.

The 5K will also have raffle prizes, giveaways, food and awards. It's fun for everyone!

Race entry is $15.00 in advance and $20.00 on the day of the event. T-shirt will be available for purchase for $10.00.

All proceeds will benefit this year's recipient, Ashley Harmon. Ashley is from Floyd, VA and is described to me by her sister as a beautiful person who has a radiant smile that melts your heart. Even on her worst day, she's smiling. And that's because she has the love of Christ in her heart and He rules her life.

She has already overcome many obstacles in her life and then she was diagnosed last year with stage IV breast cancer. Her motto through it all has been "God's Got This!". Her faith, strength and courage in the face of this most recent challenge makes her so deserving of this fundraising event.
