Description:
The Hahn Horticulture Garden at Virginia Tech continues their Learn at Lunch: Walks and Talks series with "Backyard Chickens" with Erica Jones, Master Gardener on Wednesday, March 15, 2017.
Have you ever been jealous of a friend with laying hens? Do you try to buy "real" eggs? Come and get a crash course on chicken husbandry and things not to do and find out how chickens can help your garden. I have had laying hens for some 40 years with some ups and downs.
All walks and talks are from noon to 1:00 pm on selected Wednesdays. All talks meet at the Peggy Lee Hahn Garden Pavilion.
A parking pass is required for our visitor lot. Be sure to pick up a Visitor's Permit from Parking Services or the Virginia Tech Visitor's Center if attending an event in the garden during weekday business hours (M-F, 8-5).
Admission is free and all are welcome.
