RSVP welcomes the community to join its volunteers for the 9th Annual Walk-A-Thon on Thursday, October 20, 2016 starting at 10 am at the Christiansburg Recreation Center.

Michael Barber, Mayor of Christiansburg, will be our Walk Leader. Registration forms, information, and sponsor sheets can be picked up in advance at the RSVP office located at 210 South Pepper Street, Suite D in Christiansburg, VA.

Registration will also be available at the Christiansburg Recreation Center. You may walk and obtain sponsors or sponsor someone else to walk. However, sponsorships are not required to participate!

All proceeds will go to purchase basic household and personal care items for 200 homebound seniors and veterans. These items will be delivered during the winter months in Pulaski County, Montgomery County, and the City of Radford.

A Flu Vaccine Clinic will be offered by Walmart Health and Wellness from 10 am to noon. If interested, please bring your Medicare Card and ID with you.

If you can't participate in the Walk-A-Thon, you can still donate! Donations of items are being accepted at the Christiansburg Recreation Center, The Village Center at Warm Hearth Village, RSVP, and the New River Valley Agency on Aging.

Toilet Paper, Paper Towels, Soap, Deodorant, Lotion, Shampoo, Conditioner, Detergent, Tissues, Cleaning Supplies, Trash Bags, Crossword/Word Search Puzzles, Toothbrush, Toothpaste, Dish Detergent, Disinfectant Wipes, Foil and Plastic Wrap
