NRV Rocketry presents a Two Day and Night High Power Rocket Launch on Saturday, October 22, 2016 and Sunday, October 23, 2016 on Virginia Tech property.
This is a two day high power rocket launch this weekend. The Saturday launch is a day and night launch from 10 am - 5 pm, then we break for a bit and then resume the dusk/night launch from 6-8 pm.
The Sunday launch is from 11 am - 4 pm.
Both the Saturday and Sunday day launches are Tripoli insured launches for model, mid and high power rockets using commercial motors from 1/2 A up to K impulse. L and M impulse rockets need to be reviewed by the Prefect. Waiver up to 8800 feet, but very strongly recommend altitudes below 5,000 feet AGL.
The Saturday night launch has a max ceiling of 2,000 feet AGL, only rockets that have flown earlier that day (exact configuration) will be allowed to fly, and all rockets must have an on board light source to make the flight visible from take off to touch down.
No cost to attend and NRV Rocketry does not charge any launch fees (come fly a model rocket with us!), but membership is encouraged and donations gladly accepted.
