Description:
New River Valley Trout Unlimited presents a screening of the film "Tidewater" along with other activities on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at The Lyric Theatre.

Join us for an evening of entertainment and discussion for a special showing of the film "Tidewater". Colby Trow, one of the films creators, will be in attendance to discuss the making of this film that was a selection on the 2016 Fly Fishing Film Tour.

Film Synopsis:
Three years ago, adrenaline junkie Art Webb barely escaped a rock climbing fall with his life. During his recovery, Art found a substitute thrill: pursing marlin and other billfish with a fly rod off the coast from his home town, Virginia Beach. As Art began to tell his friends about his experiences offshore, two fellow fishing fanatics, Brian and Colby Trow, could not resist. This is a story of these three anglers on a fly fishing adventure to catch marlin in their backyard waters of Virginia.

Anglers from around the area will be able to share ideas and discuss the many joys of saltwater fly fishing in Virginia. Special guests from Mossy Creek Fly Fishing, Tangent Outfitters and The Orvis Company will also be in attendance.

Tickets are $15.00 for adults and $5.00 for students in advance. The prices are $1.00 more at the door. To purchase advance tickets, email nrvtroutunlimited@gmail.com.

Doors open at 6 pm. Come early to enjoy a local brew and talk fishing before the film.
