Description:
The Intellectual Disabilities Agency of the New River Valley's (IDA) Oktoberfest 2016 is on Saturday, October 1, 2016 featuring The Sauerkraut Band at Days Inn in Blacksburg, VA from 6-10 pm.

For over 25 years, you have become accustomed to the music and antics of the Sauerkraut Band. Enjoy the show while supporting a great cause! Your ticket includes admission to Oktoberfest, a Bavarian style dinner catered by Professional Catering starting at 5 pm and entertainment by The Sauerkraut Band starting at 6 pm. Beer and wine sold separately.

The Sauerkraut Band specializes in performing authentic German style music in the Bavarian tradition. They are in their 28th season of Oktoberfest in the New River Valley.

Special favorites are march arounds, schunkeling, polkas, and waltzes in authentic arrangements and of course, the chicken dance! You will be able to join in on the singing and dancing at this festive event. The Sauerkraut Band is wonderful and and you will have fun - young & old alike.

Proceeds from this fundraiser will benefit the Intellectual Disabilities Agency of the New River Valley. IDA is a community organization that provides social, recreational, and educational activities, transportation and advocacy for children and adults with intellectual disabilities who live in the New River Valley area of Virginia

Join us to celebrate our local version of this ancient festival. Lederhosen and dirndl attire are optional, but welcome - feel free to choose a Bavarian alias for the evening if you wish.
